KENYA MICRO LOT MEDIUM ROAST

 This is a SINGLE ORIGIN MICRO LOT coffee.

We bring you this terrific coffee from KATHITHINKU farm in the Marhira District of Kenya. 

This coffee comes from a small farm located on a mountain 1800 masl.   The varietals are very rare: SL28, SL34, Ruiru and Batian.  This coffee is hand picked.  This means that only the ripest, best berries are cultivated for this coffee.  Damaged, over ripe or under ripe berries are not harvested.  

This is a washed process coffee and sun dried on raised beds.  (go see our Coffee College to get more info on the coffee processes).

This is grown at high elevation (1700-2000m) using sustainable practices 

The flavour profile has immediate and prominent notes of orange and sweet chocolate and finishing with hints of spice.  This is a flavorful and floral coffee with a bright finish while exhibiting terrific medium body and creamy mouthfeel. 

This coffee has a cupping score of 89.

FLAVOUR:  Fresh, ripe oranges, hints of spice and cocao.  Good medium body, very clean mouthful, a hint of spice  finish - think light cinnamon.
