This is a SINGLE ORIGIN coffee. 

 

Duke's Dark derives it name from Duke's garage right here in Russell - the very first customer of Chin Chin Coffee.  The owner, Frank, would tell us "Darker! Stronger!" when we were doing sample roasts.  We FINALLY got him to sign off on Duke's Dark and viola!  Duke was Frank's long standing canine partner - a bull dog - and a real sweetheart too.  Duke is no longer with us but his name lives on in our coffee.  

We use our new, top notch Nicaragua coffee purchased directly from the farmer. Sustainably grown at high elevation and in shade, hand picked all the while paying their staff a fair wage  - this is FANTACTIC coffee and we can't wait for you to try it.   A zero-bitterness finish, strong and flavorful.   and very well balanced. 

FLAVOUR: Definite deep chocolate tones with a caramel base, strong yet balanced, clean finish and no bitterness 

ELEVATION: 1100m

PROCESS: Washed and patio dried.

Hello. Sorry that our coffee did not suit your tastes.
You are the first person to say that our coffee tastes bitter.

We understand you are upset that you didn't get the delivery of your order on the day that you wanted. We are a small business that delivers FOR FREE once a week - an option that you took advantage of.

We tried our best after you called us with your special request to get it to you that day but as described to you on the phone, we were sick and missed our Wednesday delivery. We told you and promised you Friday which you seemed happy with. We then changed our schedules and delivered Thursday instead. In the end, we were one day late with our free delivery. We apologize for that.

Sorry we could not meet your expectations for delivery. We wanted to share the back with our fellow coffee lovers.

It can be hard to find a good, solid dark roast these days, and this is a good one! Nice chocolate-y notes.
